Client background A Small, Montana-Based Business Built By Two People Who Love To Eat, Love The Outdoors, And Were Sure That There Was A More Efficient, Cost-Effective Way For People To Plan Meals For Groups And Large Events. Platform to shine Wholesum is an online platform that allows users to plan menus and shopping lists effectively, efficiently and accurately for their groups. Outfitters, caterers, summer camps and event planners all turn to Wholesum to help make meal planning a piece of cake. Costing Recipe Management Purchasing Menu Planning Ingredients management Group meal plans management Stripe payment system Generating of stylish pdf- and xlsx-files Multiple users per account Business challenge Outfitting food for a trip is getting harder by the year. It’s no longer enough to prepare delicious meals with great ingredients; what is excluded from the meal is just as important as what is included: gluten-free, vegetarian, soy-free, broccoli-free, dairy-free. Idea of wholesum was to build the tool that allows people to convert usually annoying and boring work of meal planning to and easy well-structured task. Solution & process LinkUp Studio builds an online software that allows users to accurately calculate food quantities, manage dietary restrictions and generate shopping lists. Keeping an eye on technology that made the math behind Wholesum Food Calculator less of a forefront tool, and more of a behind-the-scenes wizard, we have tried to design an application that makes meal planning fun and easy. The platform users can build out the favorite existing recipes or import them from an online Wholesum Cookbook. The team also incorporated functions that can help to track inventory and costs. Track inventories and costs and easily plan around dietary restrictions, allergies and appetite sizes. The platform also allows to export recipes and shopping lists with accurate ingredient amounts.
